Design by Certification
In New Zealand and Australia, it is a legal requirement to be able to prove that a High Voltage electrical system design has been certified and the person and/or company providing the certification has the full understanding of the applicable regulations and standards to be able to provide that endorsement of compliance.
Design by certification is a methodical, structured process that considers all aspects of the design, ensuring that each element is verifiable against the relevant engineering standards or legislative requirement.
Once the design has been realised into an installation, design certification requires the installed system to be tested and validated against the original design documentation, to absolutely ensure that the verified design has been correctly implemented.
